Fixed Braces in Nottingham

Fixed Braces are the most common type of brace, they are small brackets bonded to each tooth and linked together by a thin arch wire and held in place by elastic rings. The arch wire is adjusted at regular intervals which straightens the teeth into the correct position of the jaw.

There are two options for fixed braces, traditional stainless-steel metal brackets or ceramic tooth coloured brackets

Fixed Metal Braces

Our fixed metal braces are made of high-grade stainless steel which straighten your teeth using metal brackets and arch wires.

The cost for this type of treatment is:

Upper Arch £2200 or Upper & Lower Arch £3500

Ceramic Braces

The ceramic system we use in InVu Aesthetic Braces, these are made of tooth coloured materials and are less visible than metal braces, blending in with the natural colour of teeth.

The cost for this type of treatment is:

Upper Arch £2450 or Upper & Lower Arch £3800

Invisalign Clear Aligners

These are clear aligners individually manufactured for your teeth. They are comfortable and less visible than other traditional braces.

The cost for this type of treatment is:

Children’s Orthodontic Treatment at Westdale Dental

A lovely smile can lift your self-confidence and have a positive impact on your overall wellbeing. Helping your child to achieve a lovely natural smile whilst they are young can really help boost their self-esteem which will help them in the future.

At Westdale we are able to offer NHS and Private orthodontic treatment to your child. Treatment typically lasts between 12 and 24 months and your child will need to attend appointments every 6 to 8 weeks.

NHS Orthodontic Treatment

In April 2006 the Department of Health introduced strict new guidelines to determine a patient’s eligibility to undergo NHS orthodontic treatment.

Cases are now assessed according to the Index of Orthodontic Treatment Need (IOTN).

The score your child receives on this index will determine whether he/she is eligible for treatment on the NHS. 

PRIVATE Orthodontic Treatment For Children

If your child is not eligible for orthodontic treatment under the NHS, or you do not want to wait for NHS availability, they can still receive the treatment they require as private care here at Westdale Dental.

An orthodontic consultation for under 18’s is £45.

Upper and lower orthodontic treatment costs £2150 for metal brackets and £2450 for tooth coloured brackets.
