Rod graduated from the University of Sheffield in 1981 and became a partner with us at Westdale Dental in 1985. Rod enjoys all clinical aspects of general dentistry but has a particular interest in crown and bridge work. By attending a range of courses he keeps abreast of all the latest techniques to be able to offer the latest treatments in modern dentistry.
Chris graduated from the University of Bristol in 2001 and became a partner in the practice in 2008. Before joining us as a partner, Chris worked locally as a general dental practitioner and spent a further year working at a family practice in Wakefield.
Gillian graduated from the University of Glasgow in 1999 and moved to Nottingham in 2000. She joined us in February 2008 after spending seven years working at a family dental practice in Hucknall. Gillian enjoys all aspects of general dentistry.
Sandeep graduated from London's Kings College in 2002 and stayed at Kings College for two years working in the oral surgery department, including one year as staff surgeon. Sandeep also attended the Eastman Dental Hospital, UCL, for an extended implant course and gained experience with several implant systems.
With a wealth of experience and expertise and a gentle, caring approach, Sandeep is able to help put the minds of even our most nervous patients at ease. Well respected in his field, Sandeep has worked with many of the country’s leading oral surgeons and continually attends courses to keep abreast of the latest advances in modern implant dentistry.
Lynne graduated from Newcastle in 1991 and joined our team in October 2009. Lynne provides both NHS and private orthodontic services here at Westdale Dental. Modern advances in cosmetic braces means that Lynne can offer Invisalign® invisible braces as well as all ceramic bracket systems.
Caroline graduated from Sheffield University in 2012 and spent her first foundation year with us at Westdale. During that time Caroline developed strong relationships with the team and our patients and we were delighted to be able to keep her at the practice full time following her first year. Caroline enjoys all aspects of general dentistry.
Karolina graduated from the University of Szczecin in in Poland in 2005. Karolina joined us here at Westdale Dental in December 2014 after spending seven years working at a family dental practice in Hucknall.
Karolina enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and is especially interested in providing dental treatments using minimal invasive dental techniques.
Sherif qualified as a dentist in 2005 from Cairo, Egypt. In 2007, he completed his examinations and became a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
Sherif moved to the UK and gained extensive experience in oral surgery having trained for over five years in oral and maxillofacial surgery. He has worked in a number of different units around the country including Coventry, Birmingham, Leicester and Lincoln and currently holds a part-time position as a specialty doctor in oral surgery at a university hospital.
Sherif has an interest in cosmetic dentistry and dental implantology. In addition to taking many courses to continuously develop his skills, he is a member of the ITI (international team of implantology) Sherif is very good at comforting his anxious patients and providing them with a pleasant dental experience.
Gurdit qualified as a Dental Surgeon from The University of Liverpool in 2015 with a distinction in Oral Health. He then returned back to Nottingham and undertook his foundation year at a family practice in Beeston. Gurdit is currently working towards completing MFDS Part 2 examinations early next year to gain MFDS Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh membership.
Gurdit enjoys all aspects of dentistry, however he has a keen interest in Restorative dentistry and Oral surgery. In the future he hopes to undertake further Postgraduate training to enhance his skills in this field and pursue the specialty of Prosthodontics.
In his spare time Gurdit enjoys spending time with family and friends, travelling and keeping fit. He regularly trains at the gym, plays football weekly and fits in a round of golf when the suns out!
Caroline qualified as a dental hygienist at Charles Clifford Dental School in 1996 and has been with us since 2003. Caroline works at the practice 2 days a week and spends the rest of her time between dental practices in South Yorkshire and Derbyshire.
After Emma completed her degree in Biomedical Science in 2010, she decided that she wanted to utilise her knowledge of the human body within a clinical setting and be at the front of patient care. Emma completed the Diploma in Higher Education in Dental Hygiene & Therapy at the University of Sheffield in June 2013.
Emma is passionate about improving patients’ self-confidence and general well-being. She believes excellent communication and building a good rapport with each patient is the key to achieving a high standard of care and the best clinical results. Emma has a special interest in preventative oral health care and promotion of good oral health.
Christina studied Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy at the University of Leeds and graduated in 2012.She then went on to complete the West Midlands Foundation training scheme for dental therapists which allowed her to further development her clinical skills. Christina continues her professional development and regularly attends practical hands on courses so she can keep up to date with the latest treatments and dental products. Christina has experience working with both adults and children, identifying the individual needs of her patients and provide a personalised course of treatment. Christina is passionate about her work, whether its treating periodontal disease , teaching patients how to improve and maintain their oral health, carrying out fillings or teeth whitening.
