Dr Chris Newton BDS BSc (Hons) GDC Reg No. 79853

Chris graduated from the University of Bristol in 2001 and became a partner at Westdale Dental in 2008. In 2018 Chris became the principal dentist, taking sole ownership of the practice.  Following on from COVID, Chris was diagnosed with long covid which has restricted his clinical practice here at Westdale Dental. However, Chris still has a very active role within the practice supporting the whole team.

Outside of the practice Chris enjoys spending time with his family. He enjoys most sports, in particular football and cricket and travelling when he can as well as finding time to do his charity work.

Dr Gillian Hannah BDS GDC Reg No.75818

Gillian qualified as a dentist from the University of Glasgow in 1999 and soon after graduating she moved to Nottingham. Gillian joined Westdale Dental in 2008 bringing with her a wealth of experience in general dentistry. In 2022 Gillian took on the joint role of Clinical Lead at the practice and helps to oversee and advise on all clinical aspects within the practice.

Gillian prides herself on providing high quality dental treatment with a gentle, friendly approach. Many of her patients regularly make comments on how gentle she is at giving injections! Over the years, she has built up a very loyal list of patients of all age groups.

Outside of work, Gillian enjoys travelling, yoga, gardening and walking. She also still enjoys regular trips back up to Scotland to visit her family and friends.

Dr Caroline Lynk BDS GDS Reg No. 228904

Caroline graduated from Sheffield University in 2012 and spent her first foundation year with us here at Westdale Dental. During that time Caroline developed strong relationships with the team and our patients, so we were delighted to be able to keep her here at the practice full time. Caroline enjoys all aspects of general dentistry; she has a caring and reassuring approach and her aim is to work in partnership with her patients to promote good oral health.

Throughout the years with us, Caroline has gained experience and undergone further training, which has led her to take on the role of Clinical Lead alongside Gillian. In this role she supports the clinicians to ensure clinical standards are being met and that we are providing high quality patient care.

Outside of work Caroline is kept very busy with her young family. She enjoys going for walks and catching up with friends.

Dr Sandeep Chita BDS MFDS RCPS GDC Reg No.81104

Sandeep graduated from London's Kings College in 2002 and stayed at Kings College for two years working in the oral surgery department, including one year as staff surgeon. Sandeep also attended the Eastman Dental Hospital, UCL, for an extended implant course and gained experience with several implant systems. With a wealth of experience and expertise and a gentle, caring approach, Sandeep is able to help put the minds of even our most nervous patients at ease. Well respected in his field, Sandeep has worked with many of the country’s leading oral surgeons and continually attends courses to keep abreast of the latest advances in modern implant dentistry.

Away from practice Sandeep enjoys spending as much time as he can with his family.

Dr Sherif Kamel, BDS MFDS RCS (Ed) MSc Implants   GDC Reg No. 233860

Sherif qualified as a dentist in 2005 from Cairo, Egypt. In 2007, he completed his examinations and became a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Sherif was awarded an international research scholar position at the University of Texas, Houston, USA and co-authored a textbook about the usage of Cone Beam CT in the head and neck. Sherif also has several publications in peer reviewed journals. Furthermore, he has gained extensive experience in oral surgery working in different hospitals and currently holds a part-time position as a specialty doctor in oral surgery at a university hospital where he mentors and teaches junior dentists.

Sherif has an interest in aesthetic dentistry and dental implants. He gained a clinical Masters degree in dental implants from the University of Manchester. In addition, he completed a post-graduate certificate in restorative and aesthetic dentistry and he is also an active member of the ITI (international team of implantology) and the British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Sherif is an experienced implant surgeon providing dental implants to replace missing teeth from single tooth to more complex full mouth rehabilitation along with bone and soft tissue grafting. He enjoys treating patients and enhancing their smiles. He is very good at comforting anxious patients and providing them with a pleasant dental experience.

Outside of work, Sherif enjoys spending time with his family, swimming and photography. He also enjoys travelling and exploring new places and learning about other cultures.

Dr Lynne Jones BDS Dip PCOrth RCS (Eng) GDC Reg No. 66946

Lynne graduated from Newcastle in 1991 and joined our team in October 2009. Lynne provides both NHS and private orthodontic treatments and her attention to detail ensures that both adults and children receive the highest standard of orthodontic care here at Westdale. Lynne attends a range of courses to keep up to date with current thinking and with modern advances in cosmetic braces, allowing her to provide a wide range of orthodontic solutions to her patients.

Outside of work Lynne is kept busy with her family and enjoys spending time with her friends.

Mr Andrew Flett Consultant Orthodontist
BDS GDC Reg No. 103732

Andrew qualified from the University of Liverpool in 2006, winning the Malcolm Foster Silver medal for the best undergraduate research project in his year. After further professional training at Liverpool Dental Hospital, Andrew went on to work as a maxillofacial senior house officer around the Merseyside region.

Andrew began his Specialist Registrar training in Orthodontics in 2010, at the Charles Clifford Dental Hospital in Sheffield and the Royal Chesterfield Hospital and in 2013, he achieved his MOrth from the Royal College of Surgeons of England and went on to complete his training as a Consultant Orthodontist in 2015.

Since completing my training, Andrew has been providing high quality orthodontic care to private patients in the Nottinghamshire area. He is very experienced in a wide range of orthodontic appliances, and treats all aspects of orthodontic concerns, from smile enhancement to complex cases requiring multidisciplinary care.

Andrew is also an honorary clinical lecturer at the University of Sheffield, teaching postgraduates and newly qualified dentists. He is passionate about orthodontic research, and has published and lectured extensively on topics including orthognathic surgery and patient-centred outcomes of treatment.

Outside of work Andrew is a family man and enjoys spending time with his lovely wife and two young sons who keep him busy. Andrew is also a keen runner and enjoys rugby.

Dr Karolina Werbel BDS GDS Reg No. 169569

Karolina graduated from the University of Szczecin in Poland in 2005. She joined us here at Westdale Dental in December 2014 after working for several years in a family dental practice in Hucknall. Karolina enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and is especially interested in providing dental treatments using minimal invasive dental techniques. Karolina’s aim is to provide quality dental care in a relaxed, trusting environment, she particularly enjoys building relationship with patients and restoring confidence in those who experience dental anxiety. Karolina finds it most rewarding to work with our younger patients promoting good oral health and good eating and brushing habits from an early age. Outside of work Karolina’s two children keep her busy and in her free time she enjoys gardening and above all exploring the British Isles on her small boat

Dr Andrea Brearley BDS GDC 73263

Andrea Brearley qualified from Sheffield University in 1997 and since then worked as a general dentist in Nottingham ever since. Andrea has been part of the Westdale Team since 2005, she has developed a keen interest in aesthetic dentistry and developed her skills further. In 2004, Andrea gained a post-graduate certificate in general restorative dentistry from the Eastman Dental Institute, London and in 2012 undertook further postgraduate training in Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry at the Tipton Training Dental Academy, Manchester. Andrea is qualified to provide teeth straightening with the Inman Aligner, Clear Aligners, Clear Braces (UK) and Powerprox braces (USA). From 2001-2009, Andrea was an honorary clinical tutor in restorative dentistry at Sheffield University.

Andrea is also qualified as a facial aesthetics practitioner in Harley Street in 2004 and has continued to attend numerous courses throughout the UK to advance and widen her skills. Andrea has had the privilege of attending training masterclasses held by the Canadian pioneers of BOTOX® (JD & JA Carruthers) and in 2012 was awarded a distinction for her case presentation submitted for the Masterclass in Facial Aesthetics by the Royal College of Surgeons, London. In 2024, she opened her own clinic for aesthetics and wellness in West Bridgford. 

Outside of work Andrea enjoys spending time with family and friends and enjoys reformer pilates and playing tennis when she can.

Dr James Carpenter BDS GDC Reg No. 290661

James qualified as a dentist from the University of Sheffield in 2020. James spent his first year working at a family dental practice in Leicester before joining us here at Westdale Dental in 2021. James enjoys all aspects of general dentistry; he strives to create a comfortable and relaxed experience for his patients where they feel informed and confident about their dental care. James is also committed to his continuing professional development by attending post graduate courses and keeping abreast of current trends in dentistry.

Outside of dentistry James enjoys visiting the countryside and heritage sites as well as watching and playing sports such as football.

Dr Madeline Bonner BDS GDC No. 296300

Madeline is committed to providing high-quality dentistry tailored to your unique needs. She graduated from the University of Birmingham, where she was awarded the prize in conservative dentistry. Madeline further honed her skills in the oral surgery and restorative dentistry departments at Newcastle Dental Hospital and has earned membership in the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.

Known for her gentle and compassionate approach, Madeline’s friendly demeanour makes her a hit with both children and adults alike. Her dedication to continually updating her skills with the latest advancements and techniques ensures that, whether you're here for a routine check-up or a complete smile makeover, you will feel at ease and confident in your dental care.

In her spare time, Madeline enjoys taking weekend trips to the mountains and coast for hiking and paddleboarding adventures. She looks forward to welcoming you to our practice and helping you achieve a healthy, beautiful smile.

Dr Taha Adamji  GDC No. 278365

Taha has a calm, friendly approach and wants his patients to feel comfortable seeing the dentist. He loves helping his patients feel more confident with their smile, having done extra training in cosmetic dentistry and teeth straightening with clear aligners.

With a passion for the latest techniques in minimally invasive dentistry, he aims to provide high-quality dentistry that looks natural and gives long lasting, healthy results.

Dr Adil Lone BDS MSc GDC No. 194596

Adil graduated from Barts and The London Dental School in 2010.  Since then he has gained extensive experience as a dentist, whilst continuing further training to develop and enhance his skills.  Over the years, he has completed a wide range of courses covering many aspects of cosmetic and functional dentistry including; endodontology, surgical crown lengthening, aesthetic and restorative dentistry, anterior and posterior composites, composite bonding, rubber dam mastery, photography, cbct technology, invisalign full and fixed orthodontics.

At Westdale dental, Adil will be focusing on treating endodontic referrals from other dentists, which is everything to do with the nerve of the tooth and treating infected, badly damaged teeth in order to save them.  Adil gained a Masters in Endodontics with Merit in 2020 and has years of experience managing complex cases and referrals.  All treatment procedures are carried out with the utmost care, under high magnification microscope, with the best equipment and materials required for each case.

Adil has a passion for quality patient care and his training reflects the desire to always provide the best treatment possible for his patients, which is reliable and evidence based.  He endeavours to communicate well, keeping patients relaxed and fully informed throughout, whilst helping them keep their natural teeth for longer; so that they can continue to eat, speak and smile with comfort and confidence.

Caroline Holden Dip DH RDH GDC Reg No. 5147

Caroline qualified as a dental hygienist at Charles Clifford Dental School in 1996 and has been part of the team since 2003. Caroline works at Westdale Dental 2 days a week and spends the rest of her time between dental practices in South Yorkshire and Derbyshire. Caroline enjoys all aspects of her work and in particularly the strong relationships that she has built with her patients. Her aim is to provide outstanding care in a friendly and comfortable environment.

When not working Caroline enjoys the countryside and walks with her dog.

Christina Eaton Dip DHT GDC Reg no 135386

Christina studied Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy at the University of Leeds and graduated in 2012. She then went on to complete the West Midlands Foundation training scheme for dental therapists which allowed her to further development her clinical skills. Christina continues her professional development and regularly attends practical hands-on courses so she can keep up to date with the latest treatments and dental products. Christina has experience working with both adults and children, identifying the individual needs of her patients and provide a personalised course of treatment. Christina is passionate about her work, whether its treating periodontal disease, teaching patients how to improve and maintain their oral health, carrying out fillings or teeth whitening.

In her spare time Christina likes to keep active with running, yoga and paddle boarding. She also loves spending time with her young family.

Erika De Cavilio DH GDC Reg No. 249217

Erika was born in Angola, and at the age of 14 she moved to Portugal. Erika graduated from the Dental Medical Faculty of the University of Lisbon in 1999 as a Dental Hygienist and worked for the Portuguese Government for a period of 12 years where she gained experience with nervous patients, children and vulnerable people. As a member of the British Society of Dental Hygiene and Therapy, Erika enjoys all aspects of hygiene therapy. She enjoys helping patients improve their oral health and overall wellbeing.

In her spare time Erika loves spending time with her two children as well as enjoying reading, gardening and painting.
